About us
A neighborhood pack and troop, run by the families in it.
Pack 24 and Troop 24 are volunteer-led units in the National Capital Area Council, Washington, D.C. District, meeting at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Shepherd Park. Parents lead dens, teens lead patrols, and kids from across the neighborhood grow up together outdoors.
What we are for
Kids who can handle themselves, and look out for others.
Scouting gives a child a place to try hard things at a safe scale: a first night in a tent, a first speech in front of the pack, a first time being the one others count on. The outdoor skills are real. The confidence and the friendships are the point.
Both units keep service close to home. Scouting for Food and Wreaths Across America put our Scouts on Shepherd Park streets and at a national cemetery every year.
